Cultural Dialogue Curriculum (Flagship)

A one-week immersive programme using food, storytelling, art, and geography to build intercultural understanding and self-identity. Grounded in Senghor’s vision of cultural métissage, the curriculum incorporates:

  • Daily cultural immersions (Haiti, South Asia, Nigeria, Poland, Jamaica)
  • Theories from Adichie, Freire, Bhabha, hooks, and others
  • Reflective journaling, creative arts, and group dialogue

Target Group & Outcomes

We primarily serve racially minoritised youth aged 10–16 across Leeds and West Yorkshire. Outcomes include:

  • Increased cultural pride and historical knowledge
  • Improved confidence and self-expression
  • Enhanced intercultural literacy and critical thinking
  • Strengthened engagement in school and community
